Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale®, Third Edition (FCCERS-3)

The third edition of the FCCERS is a major revision that introduces innovations in both the content and the administration of the scale while retaining continuity of the two primary characteristics of the FCCERS, namely its global definition of quality and its reliance on observation as the primary source of information on which to base assessment of family child care home quality.

Scale consists of 33 items organized into 6 subscales:

  • Space and Furnishings
  • Personal Care Routines
  • Language and Books
